New Premier League season will start in less than over a week. Premier League teams have step up their preparations for the start of New Season.

Premier League teams will have little to no rest before the start of new season

Due to the continuous rising cases of Covid in the world and the threat it possessed,Leagues all over the world were halted in the middle. This unscheduled Pandemic situation resulted in stopping the season mid way. When the Leagues started behind closed doors it was a hefty schedule packed with match day fixtures over 3 week period. The premier league season ended on 26th July with champions league scheduled to take place from 7th August to 23rd August. UEFA Nations League will be played before the start of New Premier League season. Players will have little to no rest period as the new season starts from 12th September.

Premier League Teams will have busy schedule this season

All honors goes to the global pandemic which resulted in the late the finish to the premier league season. With New Season already starting late than regular Premier league teams will have to cope up with busy schedule this Season. Premier League clubs playing European competition will have to look after the squad players. Players may face serious injury if they will play day in day out without getting much rest. Premier clubs and Managers will have to rotate the squad players keeping in mind the busy schedule which lies ahead of them.

Here’s How Premier League teams have fared in the club friendlies

1)Arsenal

Arsenal finished the last season with FA cup victory over Chelsea. Gunners have had least amount of time to prepare for the New season along with Chelsea. Arsenal have begin the pre-season with a win over Liverpool in the community shield. Arsenal have played 3 friendlies and have been preparing well before the start of New season. New Signings such as Willian,Gabriel and Ceballos added some minutes under their belt playing in the preseason.

2) Chelsea

Frank Lampard and chelsea have been busy this summer with their new signings. Blues have revamped their attack with signings of Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech and Kai Havertz. Chelsea will be looking to compete for the titles this season after major overhaul in the transfer window.

3) Manchester United

Manchester United have been in talks with Dortmund over the transfer of Jadon Sancho. But both the clubs have large difference in evaluation fee for the player. Manchester United have signed Van De Beek from Ajax over a long term. Manchester United will play their opening game on 19th September against Cystal Palace.

4) Liverpool

Defending champions Liverpool have been looking good in the friendlies they have played. Players are looking sharp and ready to defend the title once again. Although they lost community shield to Arsenal on penalties barring that they have been on the right track. Liverpool are in talks with Bayern Munich over signing of Thiago.

5) Manchester City

Manchester City have been active in the transfer window after failing losing the title to Liverpool. Citizens have already signed Ferran Torres and Nathan Ake to boost the squad. While the Lionel Messi saga had kept the Citizens on the toes to sign him if Messi decided to leave. Manchester City will begin the new season against Wolves.

6) Tottenham

Tottenham under Mourinho have not been the best which they were under Pochettino. Spurs have so far have mixed results in the preseason friendly. North London Club had a good outing against Reading and Ipswich beating them comfortably. But against Birmingham they were given tough fight and managed to come out with a win. Also they lost to Watford leaving dilemma to Jose Mourinho and Spurs supporters.
