PL Match day-2 Review: Arsenal need Midfielders, Thiago impresses and Zaha haunts Man United

Finally English PL is truly back with Match day -2 seeing 39 goals in 8 matches. PL is arguably one of the finest leagues which has attracted millions of fans around the world. Premier League Match day had some mouth watering fixtures this weekend highlighted with Liverpool Vs Chelsea. Here are some of the highlights for this weeks fixtures and how it played out.

1) James Rodriguez shines on his home debut at Goodison Park

Everton Manager Carlo Ancelotti has brought some serious talents at Merseyside Club this transfer window. James Rodriguez, Allan and Doucoure among the few who have signed with Everton this summer. Colombian forward James Rodriguez seems to be signing of this transfer window. James Rodriguez scored his first everton goal for the toffees in his home debut at Goodison Park against West Bromwich. Meanwhile, Dominic Calvert-Lewis starred with man of the match performance after scoring his first Hat-trick for the toffees. With two wins in two games Everton are currently at the top of the table and will be aiming to break into top-6 this season.

2) Leeds United are great addition to PL

Certainly, the Peacocks are truly exciting addition to the English Premier League and will be a team to watch out for this season. Leeds United making a comeback after a prolonged spell of 16 years has nothing short of Joy to watch. Under the managerial guidance of Marco Biesla, Leeds have been eye pleasing to watch. Leeds United both game ended with 7 goal thriller but the results in both match were contrasting. Leeds are looking dangerous side showing no fear against the heavy weights which can be seen from their match against Liverpool.

3) Zaha came back to haunt United at Old Trafford

Meanwhile, Manchester United started their Premier League season with a loss over Crystal Palace. Ex-Manchester United player Wilfred Zaha came back to haunt united at Old Trafford. United were looking rough and clueless in their passes during the match. Eagles reprimanded them for their defensive errors. However, Manchester United New signing Donny van de Beek was on the score sheet for the Red Devils in his debut match. Crystal Palace started aggressively against united and scored the goal inside opening 10 minutes of the game. Wilfred Zaha scored his first goal against his ex team in 11th appearance.

4)Arsenal seriously needs creative midfielder to push for Top-4 this PL season

The Arsenal managed a hard earned win against London rivals West Ham to make 2 wins out of 2 in the premier league this season. Arsenal players lacked fluency in their game and were poor in the final third. Most importantly, Gunners came out of top thanks to late winner by Edward Nketiah who came off the bench. Meanwhile, French Striker Lacazette scored his 50th goal for the gunners during the match against West Ham. During the course of the match Gunners lacked creativity and were unable to find the right pass in the final third. Arsenal Teenage sensation Bukayo Saka came clutch and provided two beautiful pre-assists in the match. Arsenal eyeing Lyon’s Houssem Aouar to bolster attacking threat. Gunners are also looking for Athletico Midfielder Thomas Partey to have variety in the middle.

5) Thiago impresses on his Liverpool debut against Chelsea

Liverpool marquee signing Thiago impressed on his debut against Chelsea. Defending champion Liverpool came away with a win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Sadio Mane found the back of the net twice to hand Liverpool the victory. Meanwhile, Christensen was shown Red card for denying clear goal scoring opportunity. Thiago was substituted on half time and looked bright since coming on for the bench. Liverpool maintained 100% win record this season while on the other hand Frank Lampard will be thinking about where it all went wrong for the blues.
