Liverpool will travel to Goodison park to play local rivals Everton in the Matchweek-5 of the premier league. The Toffees will host Premier league holders Liverpool on Saturday Afternoon.

Everton will look to maintain their unbeaten start

The Toffees are one of the two teams along with Aston Villa who have maintained perfect start to the New season. Everton have started this season with a bang and are one of the top teams to watch out this season. Carlo Ancelotti has brought some serious talents at Goodison Park and result have changed drastically in their way. Everton have won all of their opening four games this season with Authority. With this Everton will be looking to win the first five matches in the top flight history for the first time since 1938-39 campaign. Everton started their Campaign with win over Tottenham and since then have won 6 matches in all the competition.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin just can’t stop scoring for Everton

English striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been sensational from the start of this new season. Toffees striker has scored 6 goals in the four appearances he has made in premier league this season. Calvert-Lewin has scored hattrick against West Brom to become first evertonian since Lukaku to score hattrick at Goodison. He has been able to score in all the premier league games in this season. In addition to that Dominic Calvert Lewin has scored hattrick in the EFL cup against West Ham. His red hot scoring form earned him a spot in England National team.

On his National team debut Dominic Calvert-Lewin did not disappoint and scored on his debut. Surely amongst the likes of Salah, Mane and James, Calvert-Lewin will be the one to watch out for in the derby. Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be eager to give Everton their first win over their local rival Liverpool since October 2010. Dominic Calvert-Lewin is currently the top scorer in the top five European leagues this season.

James Rodriguez proving critics wrong with his performance

Football Pundits had written off James Rodriguez following his move from Real Madrid to Everton. But as they say winner proves doubters wrong with their on the pitch performances. Many Pundits had questioned Ancelotti’s decision to bring James in one of the most physical leagues of the world. James Rodriguez has been exceptional since his transfer from Madrid. James is back to his best under the management of Carlo Ancelotti a partnership they shared way back in Madrid. Ancelotti of all knows the quality possessed by James and has been able to utilize him perfectly. All Evertonian will be looking up to James to break the chain of defeat and help the team get past their local rivals with a win. Liverpool will be looking to get behind the Villa disaster

Defending champions Liverpool will be looking to forget their time at Villa Park where they conceded 7 goals. Liverpool in the absence of Sadio Mane looked clueless in the attack and suffered their first defeat of the season. Jurgen Klopp will be concerned with his team’s performance and knows that it will be an herculean task to retain the premier league title. Although one poor performance does not take away the good work this side has produced over the last two and a half year. Liverpool will be facing table toppers Everton in the Merseyside derby which they have dominated over the past 10 years. Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 22 Merseyside derby – against no other teams they have had a longer unbeaten run.
