James Rodriguez has reunited with Carlo Ancelotti at Everton after signing a three deal with the toffees .

Carlo Ancelotti – the man of European competition

Carlo Ancelotti coaching CV is star studded with trophies and achievements. There are only few who are as successful as Italian Manager Carlo Ancelotti in the European History. Carlo Ancelotti won Champions League title with Real Madrid and AC Milan. Carletto has managed some great teams all over the Europe including Real and Bayern. The Italian Manager has managed some great players during his tenure at different teams. Bayern Munich sacked Carletto after poor performance in the league as well as in champions league. The Italian Master then Joined Napoli as a Manager replacing Mauizio Sarri. Napoli board sacked Ancelotti after he failed to win the scudetto. Later on, Carlo joined Merseyside club Everton on a four and a half year deal.

Ancelotti- the right man to take Everton Forward?

Carlo Ancelotti took over the managerial position at Everton from care taker cum manager Duncan Ferguson. Everton, a club with history and one of the only six teams to feature in every season of premier league. The Toffees have been a club with history and titles to their Name. The Blues had been successful under the managerial custody of David Moyes. David Moyes was in charge of Everton for more than a decade. During his tenure at Everton he managed over 500 games for Merseyside club. He was replaced by Roberto Martinez who tasted similar success in the blues.

Roberto managed to qualify Everton for the European Competition but at the later lost the dressing room. Ultimately the club had to sack him owing to poor run of form in the league. Thereafter Everton had total 6 managers during 3 years time span including care taker manager. At last they went on and bring European Competition specialist Carletto at the club. Although Ancelotti has managed only 21 games, Everton are looking much more calm and composed under his management.

Carlo Ancelotti’s managerial career hit pinnacle of success with AC Milan and Real Madrid. But he has been shown the door on many occasions after underachieving certain ambitions of the club. He has been long enough in the management and knows the quality and type of players which can win you games. Carletto has managed over 1000 games in his professional career. He went on to win La Decima for Los Blancos during his tenure at Madrid. Los Blancos fired him after he failed to win any trophy in a season.

1) James Rodriguez

During Ancelotti’s tenure at Real Madrid he brought 2014 FIFA golden boot winner James Rodriguez from Monaco. James Rodriguez won FIFA golden boot and also won Puskas award for the best goal. Carlo Ancelotti became great admirer of James after his World cup performance. After parting ways with Real Madrid, Ancelotti joined Bayern Munich as their head coach. After Ancelotti dismissal, James was not under the plans for Zinedine Zidane and remained sidelined.

James best performance in European League came under Carletto. Both Ancelotti and James seems to Understand each other very well. Carlo insisted Bayern Director to get James from Real Madrid. Bayern were able to get James Rodriguez on loan for 2 year spell. Now Ancelotti has once again reunited with James Rodriguez but this time at Everton. James Rodriguez did not need any convincing from the Manager as they both knew each other a very long time back.

2) Allan Marques

Allan is one the player who has reunited with Carlo Ancelotti. Allan has played under Carletto during his Napoli tenure. Carletto has believed in Allan since his Napoli days and was keen admirer of him. During his tenure at Napoli, Carlo Ancelotti started Allan in big matches. Allan proved the trust shown in him by delivering fantastic performances against tough opponents. Carletto has bring back Allan to Everton and believe he can be pivot for the upcoming season. Allan has joined the Merseyside club from Napoli on a three year deal from Napoli.

Abdoulaye Doucoure is one of the player who will be joining blues from relegated side Watford. Everton has signed three top class players in the midfield going into the premier League season. With Carletto at the helm, it will be interesting to see if he can bring back European football back to Merseyside.
