Man Utd signed plenty of youngsters during the summer and Arnau Puigmal has confirmed his arrival on Instagram.
Manchester United have completed the signing of Spain youth international Arnau Puigmal from Espanyol.
Puigmal, 16, signed his United contract with the rest of the club’s new academy recruits in July but has had to wait for international clearance.
Although the club have yet to confirm Puigmal’s arrival, the teenager confirmed his arrival with an post of him signing his contract with Under-18s coach Kieran McKenna and United great Andy Cole, which was taken in early July.
Puigmal wrote: “Very happy and proud to announce that I am a new Manchester United player, a dream come true. It’s time to work, come on Red Devils!”
Puigmal was named most valuable player at the Mediterranean International Cup – a competition Messi and Cesc Fabregas starred in – and plays in midfield. The Spain Under-18 international scored for the U18s in a 6-0 friendly win over SV Ebensee in Austria two months ago.
United also signed aliou traore from Paris Saint-Germain and Di’Shon Bernard from Chelsea this summer, as well as Puigmal, as their academy recruitment drive escalated under Nicky Butt.
